The Ministry of Truth strikes again

Welcome to new substackers! This week has seen some remarkable developments in the degeneracy of our political class, here are some highlights:

Firstly, Members of Parliament (MPs) have organised themselves additional security protection as they have finally noticed that rising Islamic terrorism, sectarianism, and intimidation does have consequences and not just for the plebs. It seems MPs have realised there is a connection between the murder of Sir David Amess MP, the stabbing of Stephen Timms MP, and the firebombing of Mike Freer’s MP office although they still appear to be in denial concerning multiple atrocities committed against British people including bombings, organised mass rapes, and murder. This week too we witnessed parliamentary procedure being changed on the grounds that this would protect MPs from further violence after the speaker of the House of Commons permitted MPs to vote in secret on Labour’s proposed amendment to the Scottish National Party’s (SNP) amendment on calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. Essentially, the House of Commons has announced to extremists across the country that they will alter parliamentary process if they are threatened with violence. I can’t think of a more endangering precedent to set even with their all their new security measures. Meanwhile in Rochdale, one of the poorest and most deprived towns in England, George Galloway won the local by-election and claimed it was a ‘victory for Gaza’. He received over 16,000 votes and is now an MP again, in an election where only 39.7% of constituents bothered to vote.

Secondly, this week saw the release of Tucker Carlson’s interview with Mike Benz who previously worked in the US State Department in their cyber division. He revealed in detail the extraordinary growth of censorship and propaganda emerging from the state department which he claims was successful in thwarting the democratic process in various countries including the USA. Interestingly, he claims that the Brexit vote was the wake-up call to the authorities that citizens themselves might use social media to communicate, campaign, and organise, and hence pressure was put on countries within their sphere of influence to introduce censorship legislation, resulting in various online harms bills and the European Union’s Digital Services Act. He states that the authorities were concerned that Brexit would be followed by Frexit and Grexit and this would undermine the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO). Over the past four years, we can see how effective that censorship and propaganda machine was with the release of SARS-CoV-2, the pandemic response including vaccine mandates and masks, and of course coverage of anthropomorphic climate change.

And perfectly timed with Mike Benz’s revelations, this week saw the Office for National Statistics (ONS) confirm that there are indeed, ‘lies, damned lies, and statistics’. Bradford (2024) writing in The Conservative Woman outlined how the ONS changed its methodology for calculating death statistics for the UK, and by doing so has magicked away tens of thousands from the excess death toll which inconveniently coincided with the roll out of the COVID-19 ‘vaccines’. Bradford claims this has been achieved by failing to account for demographic change, and contaminating the data set by including COVID and post-COVID years. One can only conclude that these statisticians must have spent some considerable time trying to come up with a way to massage the figures, and have set out to use a methodology which cannot be used to interrogate the hypothesis that COVID-19 vaccines coincided with the roll out of the jabs. Perhaps the ONS should rename itself the Ministry of Truth and assert that 2+2=5.

I expect that Sir Ian Diamond, the UK’s Chief Statistician will retire shortly, following on the heels of June Raine, the Head of the UK Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency (MHRA), who announced her decision to step down this week. MPs have previously written to the chair of the Health and Social Care Committee raising concerns that the MHRA should have withdrawn the AstraZenneca vaccine sooner in order to protect the public, and highlighting concerns about its funding by large pharmaceutical companies. Their letter was sent in October 2023 and signed by over 20 MPs and is worth a read (reference at the end).

But the prize for the most egregious act this week does not go to Islamic inspired mobs, the US State Department, the ONS, or indeed the MHRA (all strong contenders), the winner this week is Chair of the Home Affairs Select Committee, Diana Johnson, who proposed an amendment to the Criminal Justice Bill that would decriminalise abortion at any stage of pregnancy. This would mean that a woman who kills her unborn baby even up to the point of normal delivery would not face any criminal sanctions. Let that sink in for a moment, and then consider the depths of depravity, corruption, and immorality that our political class has sunk to. Elites indeed.
